A boating accident over the weekend involving five Iowa State Students, has claimed the life of one of those involved and left another missing. Members of the Iowa State Crew Club were practicing on Little Wall Lake in Hamilton County Sunday when their boat capsized.
Three of the five students were rescued, one was found and dead and another remained missing as of the time of this report. A 911 call came in from the scene to report the accident around 9:30 AM Sunday morning. Authorities searched for the missing student until Sunday night and the search is expected to resume Monday.
Hamilton County Sheriff Doug Timmons said Sunday, the name of the involved had not been released out of respect for their families.
