Rally Against Bullying Sunday In Fort Dodge

(Alpha Media- Brooke Bickford) This Sunday, you can bring a sign, you can bring your friends and family but most importantly the Youth Empowerment Association wants the community to bring itself together to stand up to bullying.

A rally will be held in the parking lot of CVS Pharmacy in Fort Dodge at the intersection of 5th Avenue South and South 21st Street beginning at 1:00 pm.

Organizer Jenny Johnson says a rally like this one in 2012 was used to kickoff the Youth Empowerment Association. Since that time they have put on the Kids choice awards at Fort Frenzy, youth forums at Iowa Central and Kidz Mania.

Johnson says the purpose of the group is to empower kids while the adults stand back and watch them shine.

Johnson reminds that this is a rally and not a protest and the intention is to bring people together and not tear others apart.
