Manson NW Webster Head Football Coach Jeff Anliker announced his retirement recently. He informed his players at a team banquet. Anliker has been in coaching for 30 years and has spent the last 16 years as the head man at Manson NW Webster. He compiled 63 wins during his tenure at Manson NW Webster. He said he felt it was time for him to step away from the game and spend more time with his family. His son Austin is a senior at Manson NW Webster and will graduate in the spring and the coach said this seemed like the right time to step away. He will stay on to coach track through the spring then retire from that position when the spring season ends. He will continue to work at the school as he has a few years left before he can retire from that position. Anliker said that over the years the most valuable thing he learned was the importance of the relationships he built with coaches and players through football. Coach Anliker sat down with our own Rob Jones for an interview to discuss his retirement, the full length interview is below.
