Both South Central Calhoun Basketball teams returned to action after the holiday hiatus on Monday night. Neither the girls or boys team showed any signs of the “holiday hangover” as they started strong and earned a sweep. In the girls game the Titans built a 21 point halftime lead and would end up winning the game 59-32. South Central Calhoun had 3 players in double figures including Brielle Korleski with 15, Emma Mckinney with 11 and Riley Batta added 10. The Titan boys were equally as impressive, as they started strong. The Titans offensive didn’t show any signs of rust after the holiday break as they poured in 54 points in the 1st half and led 34 at the break. The Titans would cruise to an 86-45 win. Brennan Holder led the way with 22 on 6 made 3’s. Zane Neubaum added 18 and Landon Scliesman had 16. The Titans are back in action Tuesday January 7th hosting OABCIG a 6:30 PM scheduled tip for the girls game, with the boys to follow.
