Southeast Valley 3rd Round Playoff Game Friday Night Will Air On “Sunny” 99.7

“Sunny” 99.7 will be home to coverage of the 3rd round playoff game as Southeast Valley hosts Denver starting with the pregame show at 6:45 PM. The jags  won the District Title on their way to a undefeated season thus far. They had no trouble in their playoff opener last week as they had a 50-13 playoff win over Belmond-Klemme. Jags Coach Mike Swieter says it was a complete performance for his guys.

The Jags were aggressive early on, as Coach Swieter set the tone for that aggressiveness by calling a fake punt in his own territory in the 1st half. Swieter says that call was based on a few factors but the most prevalent being trust in his players.

The Jags offense had a great game on the ground running for over 380 yards, which was led by the offensive line coming off the ball and opening holes. Southeast Valley’s defense though held Belmond-Klemme to just over 200 yards of total offense. Coach Swieter says their defensive effort starts with the play of Junior All American Selection Aaron Graves on the D-line.

The Jags host the 6-3 Denver Cyclones Friday Night. Cyclones advanced after a 21-19 road win at Cascade in he 2nd round last week. Denver has a balanced offense and their top play maker has been Junior Slot WR Caylor Hoffer. They use him as a “flex” type player as he has ran over 300 yards on the season averaging 6.5 yards per carry, also 50% of their completions have went to him for an average 17 yards per and 8 TD catches. He also is dangerous in the return game averaging 17 yards per kick return and 26.5 per punt return. Hoffer has a total of 14 TD’s on the season which include two on punt returns.
