Southeast Valley Football Starts Playoff Journey Friday

Southeast Valley has been ranked in class 1A’s top 10 statewide for most of the season, last week they were ranked #3 in Radio Iowa’s poll. They had a bye week last week in the 1st round of the playoffs after going 7-0 and winning the District Title. Jags coach Mike Swieter says the bye week came at just the right time.

A major difference in Southeast Valley’s 5-4 finish from last year and this year’s 7-0 season Coach Swieter says is the evolution of their passing game. That improvement is due to their development at QB and in the receiving corps. Swieter says that they still haven’t opened up the whole playbook.

In recent weeks, Southeast Valley Junior Lineman Aaron Graves who has already committed to play at Iowa was recently named a Junior All American. He also is ranked as the #1 prospect in Iowa for the class of 2022.
