St. Edmond Baseball Cruises In Final Regular Season Game

St. Edmond Baseball will take some momentum with them into the postseason. The Gaels cruised past Iowa Falls-Alden in their regular season finale on Monday, 10-0. The Gaels would come out on fire.

Brian Peters on the call of the John Nemmers RBI single. That was part of a 5 run 1st inning for St. Edmond, in which they sent 10 batters to the plate. The Gaels would add one in the 3rd and two in both the 4th and 5th innings. In the 5th, Peyton Scott would deliver the knock out punch in the form of a walk of 2 run single.

Cael Kolacia was back in old form in his start Monday. He threw 5 innings, scattered three hits and struck out 9. Landon Bartlett had 3 hits and drove in three for St. Edmond.

With the win, St. Edmond gets the season sweep of Iowa Falls-Alden. St. Edmond is back in action Saturday for their playoff opener. They take on Harris-Lake Park at Bishop Garrigan on Saturday at 5 PM. That game will air on 99.7 and here on our website.
