St. Edmond Basketball Falls At Home Saturday To Clarion-Goldfield-Dows

In high school basketball action Saturday on “Sunny” 99.7 and here on our website, St. Edmond was swept by Clarion-Goldfield-Dows. The St. Edmond Girls fell 54-31. They would hang tough and trail by just 5 after the 1st. However, offensive struggles ensued in the 2nd quarter as St. Edmond managed just two points in the 2nd. That allowed the Cowgirls to build a 27-16 halftime lead. Gracie Harvey had a team high 11 for St. Edmond. Three Cowgirl players were in double figures, led by Morgan Middleton with a game high 16, 12 coming in the 2nd half. Raven Kinnetz and Kendall Lieneman had 14 each.

In the boys game, Clarion-Goldfield-Dows would go a 13-0 run to close the 1st quarter and led 2207 after the 1st. Cowboys stand out guard Mateo Martinez would take the game over early.

Clarion-Goldfield-Dows would go on to win 73-51. Martinez had a game 22 and Connor State added 19 for the Cowboys. Two St. Edmond players in double figures, Hayden mayer had a team high 15 and Caleb Schaeffer added 11 off the bench. St. Edmond is back in action Tuesday at Iowa Falls-Alden, those game will start starting at 6 PM on “Sunny” 99,7 and here on our website.
