St. Edmond Coach Matt Dillon Talks Season Opening Win

St. Edmond Coach Matt Dillon joined Rob Jones on Saturday for the “Hy-Vee Fort Dodge Coaches Corner” on “Sunny” 99.7. The Gaels opened their season with a convincing win over Eagle Grove 61-16. St. Edmond trailed 16-14 in the 1st half and then scored 47 unanswered points, including a 34-0 advantage in the 2nd half. Gaels QB Drew Schaeffer had 4 TD passes, 3 of those coming after the break. RB Sean Flattery scored twice in the game, Kase Baker had 2 TD catches. FB Tyler Rossmanith had 148 yards on 12 carries and had a 69 yard TD run. Parker Oswalt with a TD catch and 2 interceptions.
