Coach Mike Szalat is a longtime cross country coach and has been the head St. Edmond’s programs for over 2 decades and has sustained success there. St. Edmond Cross Country is fresh off appearances in the 2020 State Meet for both their girls and boys teams. Both St. Edmond teams finished 12th at State Meet last week. Szalat joined Rob Jones to talk about the performances of his teams. He talked about the girls running shorthanded after they had runners miss with illness, standout Michaela Leiting was one who was unable to run for them. Szalat talked about the girls program making their 7th straight State Meet appearance. He also talked about the boys program making it back to State for the 1st time in a few years.
