St. Edmond Gets Home Split Thursday Night With West Bend-Mallard

In games heard Thursday Night on “Sunny” 99.7 and here on our website, St. Edmond got a home split with West Bend-Mallard. St. Edmond dropped the girls game 45-27. The Gaels hung tough early and despite turnover issues trailed by just 6 at the half. St. Edmond opened the 2nd half on an 8-0 to take a 21-19 lead. West Bend-Mallard would get a huge run from there of 26-2 to finish the game and take the win. Leah Neverman led St. Edmond with 6. West Bend got 13 from Kiersten Montag and 10 from Monika Fehr.

The St. Edmond Boys had no trouble, they came out of the gate strong.

KC Meiners on the call of the Hayden Mayer jumper. That was part of an 11-0 nothing run for St. Edmond to open the game. Gaels built a 27-11 lead at the half. 7 different St. Edmond players scored in the 1st half and they hit a total of 11 3’s in the game. Drew Schaeffer led the way with 16, Sophomore Jackson Palmer added a dozen for St. Edmond. West Bend-Mallard’s Collin Montag had a game high 19.
