Thursday Night games are somewhat of a rarity in high school basketball. However, in situations when teams play three times in one week Thursdays are often the landing spot. When you add in the havoc covid-19 has added to this year’s schedule then nothing seems to be as rare as maybe it normally would be. Thursday night, both St. Edmond programs look to cash in on the home court advantage and bounce back from losses. The Gael Girls team last week really seemed to turning a corner. On Tuesday they fell at home to a ranked Iowa Falls-Alden squad. Cold outside shooting plagued St. Edmond as they made just one 3 point shot in the game. St. Edmond will take center stage on your radio on 99.7 FM and also here on our website. The Gaels host South Hamilton.
The St. Edmond Boys are 2-0 this season in games when they are coming off a loss. They look to keep that momentum as they will take on a quality South Hamilton team Thursday. South Hamilton gave South Central Calhoun their only loss thus far back on Dec. 1st. The Gaels had a solid offensive showing in a loss to Iowa Falls-Alden as four players scored in double figures for St. Edmond. Coach K has projected the message of responding to adversity and the Gaels will have to do just that to get a win.
