The State Softball Tournament will continue to call Fort Dodge home. At the Fort Dodge City Council meeting Monday night, the Council voted to approve a contract extension. That extension will keep the State Tournament at Rogers Park and possibly longer. The contract has one year renewals included for after 2025.
Being home to the State Tournament has been a major point of pride for the City Of Fort Dodge. The tournament generates a boost of 7 figures annually to the local economy.
The event has been in town for five decades now. Next week will mark the 51st year for the State Tournament in Fort Dodge. The 2021 installment is set to run next Monday-Friday.
