A suspect fled after a high speed police chase Tuesday in Wright County. The Eagle Grove PD initiated the chase and a trooper from the Iowa State Patrol joined them.
The Iowa State Patrol says the chase reached speeds of over 100 MPH. The suspect eventually got out of the vehicle and fled on foot into a cornfield and eluded police.
Eagle Grove Police Chief Ray Beltran said in an email response on Wednesday , that the driver had a brake light out and almost hit a parked car and squad car.
Chief Beltran did not release the identity of the suspect but did say as of 11AM Wednesday , the suspect had not been apprehended. The incident was still being investigated as of the time of this report.
