Teenagers Led Police On High Speed Chase

A group of teenagers allegedly led police on a high speed pursuit overnight on Wednesday. The Des Moines Police Dept., says a 16 year old driver ran a stop sign there and then refused to stop. The pursuit went from Des Moines to Huxley.

While on the interstate, the teen lost control of the vehicle and hit a light pole. The pole then fell onto a police car. The 16 year old driver was wanted on a warrant and was taken into custody. The four other teenagers were released to their legal guardians. No injuries were reported in the incident.
