Thursday Night Death In Fort Dodge Being Investigated

The Fort Dodge Police Dept. issued a statement regarding the Thursday night death on the 100 Block of Avenue D. Around 10:20 PM last night dispatch received a call of a possible physical assault between a male and female. Officers arrived on scene and found a male unresponsive on a grassy area outside of the residence. Officers administered medical treatment but the male was pronounced dead at the scene. After investigating, officers determined it was likely that the male had been ran over by a vehicle. The Iowa State Patrol was called in to assist with the investigation. POlice are still working to determine the exact circumstances that led to the death. No charges have been filed stemming from the incident as of the time of this report. The identity of the male has not been released as of yet, that is pending proper notification of the family.
