Trial Date Set For Fort Dodge Mother Charged with Murdering Infant

A Fort Dodge mother charged with murdering her infant daughter will now stand trial this fall.

Taylor Blaha’s trial was supposed to begin TUESDAY today but it has been delayed until September 12th.

The baby’s father, Brandon Thoma, is to stand trial in August on a first degree murder charge and a charge of abuse of a corpse.

Both are being defended by public defenders from outside Webster County.

Blaha was arrested in December following a full scale investigation into the death of her infant daughter before Thanksgiving.

A search for the child’s body is still ongoing and a reward for any information that leads investigators to that discovery is being offered through Webster County Crime Stoppers.
