Tuesday Night Shooting Incident Involving Law Enforcement Leaves Woman Dead

A shooting incident allegedly involving police left a woman dead in Fort Dodge Tuesday Night. Officers from the Fort Dodge PD and Webster County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to a residence on 20th Ave South in Fort Dodge Tuesday Night, in response to a report of a woman who was suicidal and had multiple knives. The Fort Dodge Messenger is reporting a neighbor witnessed the interaction between the woman and police and said the woman ran at officers with a knives in each hand and was shot by an officer. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene. Neither the identity of the woman or the identity of the officer have been released.
