Tuesday’s snow storm had a major impact on travel around the state. The Iowa State Patrol reported over 90 weather related accidents on Tuesday around the state. That figure doesn’t include accidents handled by local police departments statewide. The State Patrol says they also assisted over 350 motorists on Tuesday. Police in Des Moines, reported 19 accidents and over 90 stalled vehicles, but fortunately no injuries were reported from the accidents. The Des Moines Airport reported nearly 10 inches of snow and cancelled nearly every scheduled flight. Here in Webster County, the road conditions were slick but only a few traffic issues were reported and n injuries were reported. City of Fort Dodge & Webster County crews were out working all day Tuesday and again Wednesday morning to keep roads passable.
