The results are in from Tuesday’s voting on three major educational issues in Fort Dodge. Votes passed the extension of the PPEL tax Tuesday. The decision will extend the tex for a decade. The PPEL tax passed with over 70% if voters in favor. 80% of voters voted in favor of the purpose statement on how the district plans to use funding it acquires from the 1% sales tax across Iowa. In the Fort Dodge Community School Board election Tuesday, Diane Pratt and Matt Moritz were elected for the two seats available on the board. Their were 4 candidates total, Pratt was the leading vote recipient at nearly 28% and Moritz got nearly 26%. Less than 6% of the vote separated all four candidates.
