Two People Arrested In Connection To A Robbery Monday Near Gowrie

Two people have been arrested in connection with a burglary, in Webster County that occurred earlier this week. The Webster County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched around 6 PM on Monday, to a residence near Gowrie on a report of a burglary. The occupant reported several guns were taken and supplied Deputies with surveillance video.

A suspect was identified and that suspect was wanted on prior charges. Subsequently, a search warrant was executed on the suspect’s residence Thursday morning. The search turned up a gun, ammo, cash and what the Sheriff’s office referred to as “suspected narcotics”.

As a result of the search 22 year old Fort Dodge resident, Ashton Lomicka and 24 year old, Makayla Johnson were arrested.

Lomika faces a laundry list of charges including 1st degree burglary, 1st degree robbery, 1st degree theft, possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, and possession of a gun by a prohibited person, among other charges. Johnson is charged with 1st degree burglary and marijuana possession.
