Thursday their were two separate physical altercations at the Fort Dodge Correctional Facility. The Iowa Dept. Of Corrections said the first incident around 9:30 AM between two groups of inmates in the main yard. Security Staff responded and had to resort to using pepper spray to get control of the situation after inmates refused to comply with verbal commands. A second altercation then broke out between groups of inmates. That altercation ended in the inmates complying with verbal commands from security staff. A total of 14 inmates were involved in the two incident, no injuries were reported. Both incidents remain under investigation.
