Tyson Foods To Open Medical Clinic At Storm Lake Plant

Tysonn Foods is planning to open medical clinical at several U.S. plants o improve the health of its workers and better protect them from covid-19. The company which process nearly 20% of all beef, pork and chick in the U.S., says its plan to open clinics near its plants was in the works before the covid-19 pandemic. Tyson says they will initially set up clinics near 7 of its plants, including the one in Storm Lake. The plan is to open the clinics in early 2021, thus providing primary care to thousands of Tyson workers and their families. Tyson joins a long list of companies that have clinics on or close to their worksites. Companies say having those clinics helps to reduce insurance costs by cutting out unnecessary ER visits and helping manage chronic conditions.
