Late last week Presidents of member schools in the Missouri Valley Conference announced the league will not have conference football games this fall. The MVC plans to play an 8 game conference schedule in the Spring of 2021. While the conference isn’t having league games, it did leave the decision to each member school to decide whether or not they wanted to play non-conference games in Fall. UNI has decided it will not play any non-conference games in the fall and much of that decision is based on the decisions of other leagues not to play non-conference games, leaving the options for UNI very scarce for the Fall. UNI will move its schedule to the Spring of 2021. Panthers Season ticket holders have the option to tranfer their season tickets for 2020 to the Spring. They also can apply the balance of those tickets to the expected fall 2021 season or they can request a refund. Season ticket holders who want to exercise one of those options would need to contact the UNI athletic dept. directly. Consequently, with UNI electing to not play in the fall this year, Alpha Media Fort Dodge owned KVFD AM 1400 will not air Panther Football this fall as it normally would.
