In what could only be described as peculiar scheduling UNI and Missouri State faced off for the 2nd time in as many days on Monday. UNI won Monday’s meeting 85-75 after falling to Missouri State on Sunday. The Panthers got off to a strong start scoring 41 1st half points and led 41-28 at the break. UNI had five players in double figures on Monday as opposed to just one on Sunday. Austin Phyfe led UNI with a game high 21 on Monday. Missouri St. had 3 in double figures, Isaiah Mosley and Gaige Prim both had 20 each. The back to back games between the two, is part of the Missouri Valley Conference’s scheduling during the pandemic. That scheduling system matches out of state opponents up twice on consecutive days at the same location, to better ensure that the teams play twice in the regular season.
