Unity Point Fort Dodge Announces Neurology Care Availability
UnityPoint Health – Fort Dodge has announced in partnership with Center for Neurology, Orthopedics and Spine (CNOS), local neurology care will be available to the Fort Dodge community coming this fall.
“Based on our successful partnership with CNOS for Orthopedic Care, we are grateful to partner with CNOS for outpatient neurology services,” shares Leah Glasgo, UnityPoint Health – Fort Dodge President and CEO.
CNOS neurologist, Dr. William Andrews, will begin seeing patients at UnityPoint Clinic Kenyon Road in Fort Dodge the first and third Friday of the month. The clinic will also include additional advance practitioner coverage as the clinic grows.
Dr. Andrews is a board-certified neurologist specializing in General Neurology, as well as EEG and EMG. He joined CNOS after completing a neurology residency, as well as a clinical neurophysiology fellowship at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City. During residency, he completed sub-specialty elective training in movement disorders, neuromuscular diseases, as well as the Penry Epilepsy Program at the Wake Forest School of Medicine.
He received multiple awards for outstanding care and compassion for his patients and commitment to his colleagues, including the Richard W. Fincharn Award in 2009. In his final year of residency, Dr. Andrews earned the distinction of serving as Chief Neurology Resident at the University of Iowa.
Since joining CNOS in 2010, Dr. Andrews has demonstrated a commitment to healthcare by providing a broad spectrum of neurologic care in Sioux City and also at other outreach clinics, including Storm Lake and Denison. Dr. Andrews currently serves as Stroke Director at UnityPoint Health – St. Luke’s, and he also serves as the current Section Chief for Neurology at CNOS.
UnityPoint Clinic Kenyon Road – Neurology is located in Physician Office Building East on the lower level of the building.
