UnityPoint Health – Berryhill Center Launches a Mobile Crisis Response Team

UnityPoint Health-Berryhill Center is pleased to announce the launch of our Mobile Crisis Response Team in our community. The Mobile Crisis Response Team provides on-site, face-to-face mental health services for an individual or family experiencing a mental health crisis with their voluntary consent. The team of professionals can respond to a crisis occurring in our geographical area — in an individual’s home, the community or other locations where an individual lives, works, attends school or socializes. Within 24 hours of completion of the crisis assessment, a case manager will place a phone call to follow up with the individual. This case manager will be available to the client for up to 30 days following the crisis.

The Mobile Crisis Response Team is now available in Webster County and will become available in Pocahontas, Wright, and Humboldt Counties beginning August 1, 2020.

To access the Mobile Crisis Response Team, a neighbor, parent, teacher, law enforcement, concerned individual, or person in crisis can call YourLifeIowa at (855) 581-8111. The Crisis Line is available 24/7, 365 days per year. The Berryhill Center’s Mobile Crisis Response Team is funded by County Social Services, MHDS Region and free of charge to those utilizing this service.
