USDA Announces Grants For Two Listening Area Towns

Two listening area towns will be receiving federal disaster recovery grants. The USDA has announced it will be investing over $500 thousand total to help 14 Iowa communities. The funding is made possible through the USDA Rural Development Community Facilities Grant Program.
The City Of Lohrville is receiving just over $40,000 to purchase emergency responder equipment. Their current equipment is old and outdated.
The City Of West Bend will use a $50,000 grant to assist in the purchase of a new mini pumper fire truck. The current model they are using is over 30 years old.
