Voters Encouraged to Update Registration

IOWA SECRETARY OF STATE PAUL PATE IS ENCOURAGING IOWAS TO UPDATE THEIR VOTER REGISTRATION AHEAD OF THE 2020 ELECTION.  IN A PRESS RELEASE, PATE STATED THAT “IT’S VITAL TO KEEP YOUR VOTER REGISTRATION UP-TO-DATE, ESPECIALLY HEADING INTO A GENERAL ELECTION.”  HE WENT ON TO SAY THAT, DUE TO THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC, PATE’S OFFICE WILL BE SENDING ABSENTEE BALLOT REQUEST FORMS TO ALL ACTIVE REGISTERED VOTERS IN THE COMING WEEKS.  HE STRESSED THE IMPORTANCE OF HAVING AN ACCURATE ADDRESS ON FILE TO ENSURE THE APPLICATION IS RECEIVED.  VOTERS CAN VISIT SOS DOT IOWA DOT GOV SLASH REGISTER TO VOTE TO UPDATE THEIR REGISTRATION.  A LINK TO THAT WILL BE ON OUR WEBSITE, YOUR FORT DODGE DOT COM.
