Warden At Fort Dodge & Rockwell City Prisons Retires

Bob Johnson, the Warden at two area prisons has retired. The Iowa Dept. of Corrections announced the retirement of the Warden from the Fort Dodge and Rockwell City prisons.

The warden at the Newton facility, Kris Weitzell has been named Interim Warden at the Fort Dodge and Rockwell City prisons. Weitzell previously worked at the Fort Dodge prison.

The Iowa DOC, says that a nationwide search is underway for Johnson’s permanent replacement.
