Fort Dodge Firefighters rescued two juveniles from the Des Moines River Saturday night after the two were reported to have been taken downstream while holding onto a log.
According to the Fort Dodge Fire Rescue Facebook Page, a rescue boat was deployed at Sunkissed Meadows after being notified by Webster County deputies, and emergency crews searched the river and banks using spotlights until the two were found south of Highway 20, nearing Kalo.
The two were brought safely into the boat and returned to shore.
Neither juvenile was wearing a life jacket, and had been in the water for nearly two hours, holding onto only a log to keep them above water.
