Webster County Auditor’s Office Announces Absentee Voting

Webster County Auditor  Doreen Pliner has released the statement below.

Absentee Voting for Special School Elections, for Manson Northwest Webster School District  and Stratford School District Elections on March 2, 2021 is now open.

The deadline to pre-register to vote for the special school election is 5 p.m., Friday February 19, 2021. Thisapplies to registration in person (including registration at driver’s license stations or agencies) or by mail. Voters may register online until 11:59 p.m.
Exceptions: Mailed registration forms postmarked on or before the worry-free postmark date are considered on time even if they are received after 5 p.m.

After February 19, 2021, a person may register to vote using Election Day Registration process at the
Courthouse, 701 Central Ave., Auditor Office 2nd Floor, Fort Dodge. Instructions are available on the Webster County Website, Auditor’s Tab

The deadline to mail out an Absentee Ballot is 5 p.m., Friday February 19, 2021. In-Person Absentee Voting will continue at the Courthouse, 701 Central Ave., Auditor Office 2nd Floor, Fort Dodge. This

Absentee Precinct is open from 8:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m., Monday thru Friday until 4:30 p.m. March 1, 2021.
If you have received an Absentee Ballot by mail and wish to return them in-person, they can be returned to the Webster County Courthouse Drop Box located in the alley at 701 Central Ave., Fort Dodge, delivered in person to the Second Floor Auditor’s Office at the Courthouse.  Absentee ballots returned by mail must be postmarked by March 1, 2021
