Webster County Man Charged After Accident In Dickinson County

A Fort Dodge Man who was involved in a fatal crash in Dickinson County was charged with multiple crimes after the accident. 30 year old Shane Wesley Gailey of Fort Dodge was involved in an accident in Dickinson County the night of May 2nd. The crash occurred when 46 year old Estherville resident Luis Lopez-Carabello crossed the center line and hit the vehicle Gailey was driving. Lopez-Carabello was taken to the hospital and passed away from his injuries two days later. According to the Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office Gailey complained of pain but did not sustain any obvious injuries.  After a  post accident investigation, Gailey was charged with possession of controlled substance, carrying weapons, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving while barred.
