Webster County Man Sentenced To Prison Stemming From Spring Incident

34 year old Fort Dodge resident Leon Drayton Sr. has entered guilty please to multiple charges stemming from an incident in Spring of this year. Drayton will serve up to 5 years after pleading guilty to false imprisonment, domestic abuse assault while possessing a weapon and harassment in the first degree. On May 9th, Drayton allegedly made entry into a residence on Avenue M West here in Fort Dodge. He then allegedly assaulted a female victim resulting in multiple injuries to her face. Police say Drayton then forced the victim into a vehicle while allegedly holding her at knife point. An 8 year old child was able to hide while the initial assault took place but then was forced into the vehicle by Drayton. He was given a plea deal by the Webster County Attorney’s Office that dropped felony charges of burglary, kidnapping , and willful injury.
