Webster County Manufacturers Get Prepared to Host a Tour

Some of the biggest Webster County manufacturing companies are teaming up with the Greater Fort Dodge Growth Alliance for a special tour over spring break.

Economic Development Director with the Greater Fort Dodge Growth Alliance Kelly Halsted said tours of CJ Bio, Cargill and Elanco will be held for the next generation to see first hand what a career in manufacturing would look like. “This is a really great opportunity for people to see what manufacturing is,” she said.

The event will take place on March 14th while students are on spring break.

Todd Anderson with CJ Bio America said there are a variety careers people can get involved in at their facility.

“We are a live production facility so we are always looking for production operators and no more than a high school diploma is what is actually required,” Anderson said. “We do also look for a variety of roles from our production floor to administration.”
