Webster County Now Has Over 300 Covid-19 Cases

Webster County Public Health released an update on Friday Afternoon, that says the county now has went well over the 300 mark regarding covid-19 cases. Below is the update from Webster County Public Health.

Webster County Public Health’s updated cumulative COVID-19 record is 343 positive cases as of Friday, July 10. This is an increase of 49 new cases since Wednesday’s report.  43 of these cases can be attributed to positive inmates at Fort Dodge Correctional Facility.

The age breakdown of positives is as follows: 18 children (0-18), 174 adults (18-40), 97 middle aged adults (41-60), 48 older adults (61-80), and six elderly (81+).
Webster County Public Health continues to work hand-in-hand with the Iowa Department of Corrections and Iowa Department of Public Health on future testing at the prison.
Positive cases continue to increase in the county. Again, our biggest request of residents is that if you aren’t feeling well or you aren’t sure if your symptoms are just allergies, please stay home until you know for sure.

The COVID-19 hotline is available by telephone at 515-227-7153 or by email at [email protected]
