Webster County With 191 Covid- 19 Cases As Of Wednesday Afternoon

Webster County Public Health released acovid-19 update on Wednesday Afternoon, the update is below.

Webster County Public Health is reporting 191 total COVID-19 positive cases Wednesday, July 1. This is an increase of 25 cases since Monday’s report.  “We expected this increase and we expect these numbers to continue to increase,” said Kari Prescott, Webster County Public Health Director.

The Iowa Department of Public Health’s web site was showing 161 positives as of Wednesday for Webster County. However Webster County Public Health has confirmed 191 positives in the county.

“The IDPH web site will catch up,” added Prescott. “We have a great partnership with healthcare providers in the county so we have first-hand knowledge of all tests as they are submitted and test results received. We continue to provide guidance and support to COVID-19 positive individuals, families, and places of business.” The age breakdown for positive cases are as follows: 16 children (0-17), 94 adults (18-40), 50 middle age adults (41-60), 27 older adults (61-80), and four elderly (81+).  122 individuals have recovered and been released from public health isolation.
