Week 2 High School Football Rankings Released

Week 1 of the season is in the books and the rankings for week 2 are out. The South Central Calhoun Titans maintain the #2 ranking in class 1A after a 14-0 win their season opener against Carroll-Kuemper. Titans are on the road this Friday taking on Greene County. The Rams are not ranked but were in the “others receiving votes” category in class 2A after they cruised to a win in week 1. The game between the two Friday Night can be heard starting with the pregame show at 6:45 PM on 105-9 “The Beach” and here on our website. In Class 1A, OABCIG remains #1 after a convincing win in week 1 over Ridge View. Also in 1A, Southeast Valley is in “others receiving votes category” after a 54-0 win at Clarke in week 1. Southeast Valley has their home opener this week hosting IKM-Manning. South Hamilton and Emmetsburg are also in the “others receiving votes” category in 1A.

In Class A, the St. Edmond Gaels are #10 in the polls after not being ranked in the preseason polls. The Gaels are coming off a 61-16 road win over Eagle Grove in week 1. St. Edmond has their home opener Friday at Dodger Stadium against Clarion-Goldfield-Dows. in the 8 player class, Audubon remains at #3 after a blowout win in their season opener. Newell-Fonda is ranked 7th after a convincing win in week 1.

Webster City and Carroll both received votes in the Class 3A poll.
