Week 6 AP Rankings For Iowa HS Football Feature Several Listening Area Teams
This week’s AP rankings for Iowa High School Football features a multitude of teams from around the listening area. In Class 4A, Fort Dodge is not ranked but was in the “others receiving votes” category. The Dodgers are 3-2 with both losses coming to ranked opponents. They are coming off a competitive loss to unbeaten #2 Urbandale on the road.
In 3A, Webster City is still undefeated they are ranked 7th.
OABCIG still sits at top the poll in 1A with a record of 5-0. Also in 1A, South Hamilton is 5th and Emmetsburg 6th, noth are still unbeaten. Southeast Valley is in the 1A poll for the first time this season, they sit at 8th. The Jags are 5-0 and coming off a road win that broke a 30 game winning streak last week for South Central Calhoun. SCC has dropped to #9 following that loss.
In Class A, St. Edmond is receiving votes they are 4-1 on the season with their lone loss coming on the road to #6 West Hancock the defending State Champions. In the 8 player class, Audubon is tied at #1 with Don Bosco. Newell-Fonda still unbeaten at #5. Coon Rapids-Bayard is at #8 they host #1 Audubon Friday Night.
