Week 6 High School Football Preview

The regular season of High School Football is winding down, with week 6 of the 7 game slate coming your way tonight. On “92 Rock” it’s Homecoming 2020 for Fort Dodge as take on Sioux City East at Dodger Stadium. For the 1st time ever, the Dodgers will play the same opponent twice in the regular season. Fort Dodge got a win over Sioux City East in week 2 at Sergeant Bluff 36-20. Dodger Coach Nik Moser says the previous match up certainly doesn’t guarantee anything tonight.

The Dodgers are banged up and will be shorthanded due to injuries. Starting D-linemen Reco Jolly and Kaden Lynch will not play tonight. They also will be without starting LB Dylan Zimmerman. Standouts “Downtown” Dayson Clayton at RB and Sawyer Springer at Center will be game time decisions. Hear the game tonight starting at 6:45 Pm with the pregame show, kickoff set for 7 PM.

On “Sunny” 99.7 join Casey Meiners on the call starting with a 6:45 PM pregame show, as St. Edmond is on the road taking on Alta-Aurelia. The Gaels are coming off an emotional win in a double OT “instant classic” last week vs Manson NW Webster 39-37. Gaels coach Matt Dillon says his message all week has been about focusing on the present and avoiding a let down after the emotional win last week. He says tonight’s game has playoff implications.

Alta-Aurelia’s defense averages over 8 tackles for loss per game, Coach Dillon says that means offensive line play for his squad will be even more paramount than normal tonight. Kickoff is set for 7 PM.

Both of those games will also be available here on our website.
