Wright County Man And Hamilton County Man Sentenced To Federal Prison

A man from Wright County and a man from Hamilton County have been sentenced to federal prison for a federal firearms conspiracy. Four people total were sentenced as a part of the conspiracy. 32 year old Charles Westfall Jr. of Clarion, 42 year old Donald Rundall III of Stratford, Jami Stupka of Ames, and Leah Hanson of Cedar Rapids all received prison terms. The terms  range from over 8 years to time served for their roles in a conspiracy to steal, possess, and traffic firearms. Rundall III and Hanson were each convicted of one count of possession of a stolen firearm and one count of possession of a firearm by a prohibited person. Stupka was convicted of one count of conspiracy to possess a stolen firearm. Westfall Jr. was convicted of one count of possession of a stolen firearm.

Rundall III has been sentenced to 8 years in prison. Westfall Jr’s sentenced is a little over 8 years and 8 months. Stupka and Hanson each were sentenced to time served. All 4 must also serve a 3 year term of supervised released, there is no parole in the federal system. Westfall Jr and Rundall III are being held by the U.S. Marshall’s until they are transported to federal prison.
