Officials in Wright County say an investigation is ongoing in regards to a bald eagle that was found dead this past weekend. The eagle was found under a bridge along the Iowa River between Rowan and Dows. Authorities say the initial investigation showed the bald eagle had been shot in the head twice. The Wright County Conservation Board announced via social media there is a cash reward available to anyone who has information into the incident. Those with information are asked to call the Iowa DNR Tip hotline at 1-800-532-2020 or to contact law enforcement in Wright County.
