A Wright County woman has come out publicly, saying that the ride at Adventureland was having issues before a boy was killed on it.
31 year old, Amber Estrada of Eagle Grove and her family went on the ride just before the fatal accident on July 3rd. Estrada says the boat on the water ride was dragging the bottom of the man made river and making grinding noises.
Estrada said, her husband was concerned and wanted them to get off the ride. The family decided to lean forward in their seats to prevent flipping over.
Just after that, a boat carrying the Jaramillo family capsized. 11 year old, Michael Jaramillo and his 16 year old brother David were trapped under water while buckled in. Michael died the following day from injuries suffered in the incident. Over 2 weeks later, David is still hospitalized in critical condition.
There has still not been an explanation given to why the boat flipped? The incident is still being investigated. The ride has remained closed since the July 3rd incident.
