17 Year Old Enters Guilty Plea For His Role In Robbery That Turned Fatal

One of the people involved in the robbery of a South Dakota man that left him dead has pleaded guilty. 17 year old Tate Martinson has pleaded guilty to 1st degree Robbery. According to court records, Martinson admitted to meeting 28 year old Mohammed Yaquob of Sioux Falls in October with the intention of robbing him. Yaquob was allegedly shot and killed by Martinson’s co-hort 19 year old Damion Chavez. Police say Chavez clained the gun he was carrying went off twice when Yaquob grabbed it during the attempted robbery on October 11th near Tom Thumb restaurant here in Fort Dodge. Martinson’s sentencing hearing has not yet been scheduled.
