2020 Cy-Hawk Football game Cancelled

For the 1st time in over 40 years the Cy-Hawk football game will not happen. The announcement to cancel the 2020 installment was made earlier this week, when the Big Ten Conference announced that fall sports teams will play conference only schedules due to covid-19. That means that this year will mark the first time since 1976 that the two teams will not meet on the gridiron. Iowa’s other non-conference opponents included UNI and Northern Illinois both of those games also cancelled due to the conference only schedule. Iowa and ISU are expected to renew the rivalry in 2021.
