Authorities Say Three Killed In Weekend Crash In Hardin County

According to The Iowa State Patrol three people are dead after a crash in Hardin County over the weekend. Authorities say that around 7:30 p.m. Sunday Night. A man was driving a Chevy Avalanche the wrong way on Highway 20, when he crashed into a Chevy Equinox. Three people, including a child, in the Chevy Equinox died at the scene. Another child in the Chevy Equinox was flown to a Des Moines area hospital with serious injuries. The driver of the Chevy Avalanche had minor injuries, according to officials. The Iowa State Patrol says that alcohol was a factor in the crash. The identities of the people involved in the crash have not yet been released.
