Board Of Health To Amend Countywide Mask Mandate Before It Goes To Supervisory Board

Last week, Webster County’s Board Of Health voted to pass a countywide mask mandate that would carry fines for violators. The mandate was originally scheduled to be discussed at Tuesday’s meeting for the Webster County Board Of Supervisors. A press release from Webster County Public Health Monday afternoon, says the mandate will be delayed in going before the Supervisors Board. The reason for the delay is what the release referred to as “valuable new information” that the Board Of Health has learned. What exactly that “new valuable information” is was not explained in the release. We do plan to try to find out more about that information and if we obtain more insight on that information we will release more details. The Board Of Health says it would like to discuss the new information and incorporate that info by amendment before the mandate goes before the Webster County Supervisors. Anyone with questions regarding the mandate can call 515-227-7155.

We hope to have more details in the near future, on the information referred to in the release.
