Charles Clayton Talks AFES Community Thanksgiving

Athletics For Education & Success or AFES will be having their Community Thanksgiving on Wednesday Nov. 25th from 2-6 PM. Here’s AFES Director Charles Clayton on how the idea came together.

The meal will be pickup or delivery only and pickups will be made at AFES headquarters 712 3rd St NW here in Fort Dodge. Clayton says the community has been incredibly receptive to the idea.

He says this meal is a way to lessen some of the burden the Covid-19 pandemic has created.

The meal will be a traditional Thanksgiving type of meal. AFES does need donations and volunteers, they are looking for cash donations, people willin to help cook and those willing to make deliveries on the 25th. The meal will be on a 1st come, 1st serve basis so if you would like to get the meal you will need to call and register. To register, donate or volunteer call AFES at 515-955-2969.
