Clark Pours In 35, Iowa Women Cruise Past Kentucky In NCAA Tournament

The Iowa Hawkeye Women’s Basketball team has advanced to the round of 16 in the NCAA Tournament.

 

Rob Brooks and Jamie Cavey-Lang on the call for the Hawkeye Network. Freshman Catlin Clark, a former Dowling Catholic standout scored 35 points for the Hawkeyes. They cruised past 18th ranked Kentucky 86-72, after building a 27 point halftime lead.

 

It is the Hawkeyes’ third trip to the round of 16 in their last four appearances in the NCAA Tournament. Here’s Iowa Head Coach Lisa Bluder.

Iowa improves to 20-9 with the win and they’ll advance to take on perennial powerhouse and #1 seed Uconn on Saturday.
