Fort Dodge Police Investigating Friday Afternoon Shooting

The Fort Dodge PD is investigating a Friday Afternoon shooting. A statement from the FDPD says they received a report around 2:40 PM Friday of possible shots fired on 2nd St NW. Upon investigation, officers learned that multiple people were involved in a confrontation and that a shot had been fired. Shortly after 3 PM, a 21 year old man arrived at Trinity Regional with a gunshot wound, it was determined he was part of the incident. He was treated there, then life flighted to a Des Moines hospital in stable condition. No arrests stemming from the incident had been announced as of the time of this report. Anyone with info, is urged to contact law enforcement. The Webster County Sheriff’s Office assisted in the investigation.
